THE GU’LIFE.

If you haven’t noticed before there are currently 4 “Hafadaze Crew” members (see sidebar). RTHR’s location lists him as being in California. He isn’t quite there yet, as he is still packing up his bags as I type this. For the past week or two he’s been trying to experience the island life as much as possible before he leaves and says goodbye to the GU’LIFE. So what better way than to…

I had to edit the guy on the right out (M2S~Bong) because for some reason, he suddenly felt like it was 150 degrees outside… when it really wasn’t. Let’s put it this way: What happens at Fujita Beach stays at Fujita Beach.

JME was driving and I’m sure he was having fun pretending not to look at 4 almost naked male passengers. hahaha! It was such a crazy ass night that for some reason the watermark didn’t want to go where I wanted it to go.

Later in the week we had a surprise party for RTHR and there were two cakes. One was from his girlfriend and her family and the other one was from the Hafadazers/friends. You be the judge on which was better….. Don’t need to tell me because I already know.

It so happened that the Menace 2 Society fam was having a cruise the next day at 10am… Didn’t think we would make it because we went home when the roosters were already making noise in the neighborhood. However, we all dragged ourselves out of bed with whatever energy we had and made it to the mall to meet up.

Despite the weather acting up a couple of times, it was a great time spent with friends enjoying the company, the cars, and what our island has to offer. It’s true, there are only so many things you can do here.  In the states, it is easy to travel, say from Las Vegas to New York in a couple of hours. You can even jump in a car and drive within a state (and even state to state) and “discover” what there is to be found in areas where you have not been before. When you really think about it, the possibilities are practically endless! On Guam, all we can really do go from Yigo to Malesso. If you compare it that way, then yes Guam basically sucks! But how often can you travel in the states? When can you take take time off from that busy, mainland, good ol’e USA fast paced life and job? That is what I love about Guam. Life moves slower. Ever hear that saying “take time to stop and smell the roses”? Well, here on Guam you can do that… plus take even more time smelling your neighbor burning his grass (not that kinda grass), smelling the air blowing salt from the Pacific Ocean, smelling the empanadas that your nana has frying, and even smelling the bbq sticks on the grill from Barbecue Bad Boys in Route 16 Harmon right next to Cabalen Restaurant (sup Bong). Guam is home and I don’t think I’d ever want to leave it forever. Of course, this is how I feel about my life and current situation… and there are many others who may completely disagree with me and want to experience something else, which is just as good (ahem RTHR ahem).

We will be posting up the last pics of his Civic in the next coming days as we prepare for our trip to California (ONE – 2 weeks; RTHR – forever; lol) With that said, we both will be missing UPSHIFT STANCEFEST, this Sunday at the Guam Raceway. However, IRWN and JME will be holding down the fort with a booth-setup. The classic and URL stickers should be available along with a limited release bumper sticker. It should look something like the watermark I used for the images on this update. Please stop by to say what’s up and grab a few stickers which will be for sale.
