Part 1 of SNIPER’s (aka Dennis) Junction Produce Build

Welcome to Part 1 (of I don’t know many parts this is going to be) of SNIPER’s (aka Dennis Tangonan) Junction Produce GS300 build. I’ve known Dennis for many years now, and when people think of “builds” nowadays — we think about a timespan of 6 months or maybe a year tops? Well, Dennis has been in the process of this build for as long as it takes a super duper duper Senior to graduate from high school. When I first started chilling with the M2S crew around 04-05, we were all knee-deep in the Honda scene. He wasn’t around so much at the time because he was stuck playing Halo and Call of Duty or some shit all day long on his Xbox (hence the name – Sniper). When he did finally come around, he was cruising in a beat up old Nissan Sentra (pretty sure he’s still using the same one today). When we got around to talking about cars, I was pretty surprised to see that he actually had some Honda knowledge flowing through his pinapaitan’ed blood. A couple of years later he surprised us all when he rolled up in that walnut or almond colored new gen Lexus IS. If you’re a lurker or have some time to waste, look this guy on Facebook and you’ll see his gangster-ass pics posing with different kind of Lexuses! haha. Dennis really wanted to get into the VIP scene but the IS he had sitting in the garage – as some of us know – is not considered a “true” VIP platform. So he got rid of it and finally found the black cherry GS300 you see above.

The first thing he did to his then newly acquired GS was the installation of Stance coilovers.

As you can see, he pretty much hammered this thing to the ground – and this is how it sat for awhile as he began collecting all the parts he needed to complete his Junction Produce themed-build.

Dennis worked hand-in-hand with resident Guam Junction Produce dealer Steve Oku to get the full body kit… The big bear in the background was from his big daddy lollipop man he met at Lush one night.

Yep, it’s the real-deal Holyfield.

Random JP accessories and other misc parts- steering wheel cover, lights, number plate base, clear signals, kintuna and fusa, OEM Toyota japan handles, JDM bubble wrap, etc.

Mirror covers too… +more. I’ll post everything later when the build is done.

What’s a JP themed build without the Scaras? This is baller for real. Made to order, $5,000 wheels. Go to Dennis’ house and all you’ll find in his kitchen is Ichiban and drinking water (collected from rain water) haha!

Since most of the JP stuff he got was special-ordered, the shipment from Japan finally came in late last December.I still remember because when his shipment came in, he actually gave me a call and asked if I could go down to the forwarders to pick up his goodies with my Tacoma. I couldn’t go because my wheels for my truck came in that same day too. It was cool though because he called another one of the boys’ with a long bed Tacoma and it barely fit in there, even with the tailgate down…That’s literally a boat-load of JP parts!!! Balllllllin.

Sooo fast-forward to present time and Dennis’ house is pretty much stacked with JP parts all over the place. The buzz around the car community is that Car Audio Image’s car show will be coming next month… and Stance Fest 2 a little while later… and let’s not forget Stance Appeal’s Chllin/Grillin Meet… which of course we’ll be covering.

Dennis chose to go with Tenorio’s Autobody Shop to do the paint/body on his GS300. This is the same shop that did Ryan Umadhay’s IS300 years back that was killing it at the shows (MicroMall show, Island Import Night Tumon).

The roof was kinda messed up… but they fixed it up pretty well. You’ll see pics on the next update.

Pretty funny because Dennis actually took these pics and when he sent them to me I was dumbfounded at this particular one because of the pole sitting right in the middle. You’ll see what I mean if you ever get to meet him! hahaha! 143, Den!

Stay tuned for more coverage of this build… it’s only gonna get crazier! Wait and see. 🙂
