HAFADAZE!
Our last official update was back in February. I know you probably don’t want to read about a whole bunch of excuses as to why we were on a hiatus. But I’ll just summarize it all with one simple word: LIFE. It was a busy busy busy busy time for the HD crew because I was finally finishing up my Master’s program and MONSTER, our one post wonder, was finishing up his Bachelor’s degree as well. Fast forward to the end of May and what do you know… we finish! We excited, we so so so excited. And what’s the best way to celebraaaaate, Guahan style? Get balatsu!!!

Some of you may be thinking how about STROBIST, our resident photographer? Why didn’t he hold the fort down while the writers were away? Well, he sucks at the internet and he writes like a second grader. But at least he’s good at what he does. Pick up the latest PIKA Magazine from the Pacific Daily News (www.guampdn.com) if you want to look up some of his latest work. Perverts, you will not regret!
So what’s the scoop on HAFADAZE, the best, the original OG status, the kadukuest, the sweetest, the slickest, the bombest, the gof klaruest, will the real slim shady please stand up…and the fakers please famatatsung put fabot, blog site to sweep all 30 miles of our beautiful island of Guahan? Well, as you can obviously tell we have a new look. I wanted to make it a bit less formal because writing “formally” takes wayyyy too much time. Instead, we are taking a New Direction ala CalvoTenorio. We will have some longer write-ups, but for the most part whatever we post will just be that…. pretty random. Hopefully our readers will appreciate that more because updates will definitely be coming way more frequently. If you personally don’t, then go ahead and yell and scream and cuss at me and tell me that I’m going to get fired… which we know won’t happen because I don’t work for the Lt. Gov’s office. ha…haaaa.
There were so many great events that occurred during our down time including the concert of staff favorite band, Kolohe Kai. I attended the concert with STROBIST, my neni girl and other friends and fam right after we went to the Stussy Guam grand opening that night. Cool story: we ended up meeting up with the band after the concert at Friday’s. The Tumon cab drivers were charging them $100 just to get down to Ralphy’s. So what happened is they ended up asking if we could bring them down there. Luckyily I had my truck that night… because we packed them in the bed of my Tacoma and drove down to Hagatna and partied down for the rest of the night. True island style for real! So um, there’s so much more to share with all you loyal readers. We have some big events coming up including the island’s first “stance” meet – STANCEFEST 1. This stance thing has taken the island by storm recently… I’ll explain it in an update later. Anyway, it’s going to be a great day because 1. We haven’t had a car meet of this magnitude in awhile; 2. Because the guys behind it (Rex from Stance Appeal and Tom A.) know the heck they’re doing; and 3. Because we’re involved. hahaha! In all seriousness, please mark your calendars and have Sunday, July 3, 2011 free. I will post more info on this event faster than you can say Vons Chicken.
